Japanese Summer Camp–Day 1

On May 14th, Japan Center held the Japanese Cultural Summer Camp. It is the 8th Camp and many participants came from different Emirates.
There was a lecture—Japan and how Bushido (Samurai Worrier’s Value) has been effected Japanese life. Mr Sasai, the lecturer, gave new concepts about the value of Japan. It was full of laughter and many questions were followed.
Two workshops–Japanese Calligraphy and Sushi Cooking were held.
Calligraphy was lead by Mrs Murakami. There were 5 texts with different levels. Participants practiced from easy to difficult and finish with writing on the Shikishi-Hard board with nice decoration. Male participants were so devoted to improve the writing until the time ran out.
Sushi Cooking participants enjoy making and decorating Sushi. Mrs. Tsukamoto showed the simplest and the easiest way to make home-made sushi. Participants decorated beautifully on their plates.
