Japan Center is very happy to celebrate 2019 with you. Our annual New Year Party will be held on January 19th, Saturday. It starts exactly at 10am, so do not be late! Venue is Maraya Art Center in Al Qasba.

10:00am : Opening the Reception / Starting the Tea Ceremony / Japanese Calligraphy / Other traditional toy & Game of the New Year / Tsumami-zaiku (Japanese Jewelry) Demonstration
10:10am to 10:30am: Origami Challenge 1 by Mr Tokami
10:30am to 10:50am: Soroban (Japanese Abacus) Challenge 1 by Mrs Ide
10:50am to 11:00am: Jumbo Calligraphy Demonstration by 3 master ladies
11:00am to 11:20am :Origami Challenge 2
11:20am to 11:40am : Soroban (Japanese Abacus) Challenge 2
11:45am to 12:15pm : Japanese Drum Challenge by Mr Naito
12:15pm : Director’s Greeting & Center’s Annual Report
12:30pm to 13:00pm: Quiz Show
13:00pm : Ceremony for Winners of Quiz Show / Calligraphy / Soroban
14:00pm Closing Ceremony
