Japan Center celebrated New Year 2024 with students and friends on January 13th, Saturday.

This is annual event to introduce Japanese New Year tradition to UAE local Community.

Event started with workshop of Origami.

Two young students taught how to hold paper to make Clover leaf.

Second workshop was Kendama.

Mr. Kato and son Kanara showed the technique to play Kendama.

Third workshop was Furoshiki Wrapping.

Mrs. Mizoguchi taught how to use Furoshiki, a piece of cloth, to hold a box, a bottle, and some shopping items.

Mrs. Hoshi, the 4th workshop teacher, led Japanese Calligraphy.

All participants tried to write 光 and 龍 for the new year wish.

After the workshop, the director introduced the Center’s objective and activities.

Then the report of “Japan Study Tour 2023”, which was just conducted in November 2023, followed.

 

Mrs. Ootsubo, the master of Japanese Classical Dance, performed a traditional Dance of New Year Celebration.

 

8 teams competed to win the Quiz-show.  Many Japanese gifts were distributed for winners.

新講習のお知らせ

日本UAE文化センターは、UAE地元コミュニティと日本の文化的、社会的、人的交流を目指した文化交流団体です。

2008年の創設以来17年間、UAE/アラブ文化を日本人に、日本文化をUAE地元コミュニティに伝える活動を行ってきました。

コロナの影響でしばらく活動を制限していましたが、少しずつ再開しています。

2024年1月～2月　気候が穏やかなうちにバスで遠出をして、UAEのさまざまな地域を見学します。

毎週金曜日の朝バスでドバイを出発し、風向明媚なあるいは特別な２～３か所を見学して、夕方にはドバイに戻ります。

一人ではなかなか行けない場所へご案内しますので、ご友人とふるってご参加ください。

行き先は毎週違いますので、お申し込みは一つ一つ個別にお願いします。

エマラティと日本人（岸田）の案内人２名が付きます。

バスが小さく人数が限られる（上限20名まで）ので、お早めにお申し込みください。

道中簡単な自己紹介やゲームをしますので、お一人で参加しても、ご友人とでも楽しめます。

男性の参加も可能です。（なお席のいらない５歳以下の子どもは無料とします。）

『遠隔地フィールドトリップ』

①東海岸ツアー

日にち：1月19日（金）

時間：朝９時（ドバイのデイラ地区）集合～夕方４時（同地あるいはメトロ駅で）解散

内容：東海岸シャルジャ・フジャイラ方面へ　①ラフィーサ・ダム　②　アルラビ塔　③シャルク市場見学

参加費用：一人AED 270（バス代、昼食代、見学地入場料など含む）お土産やボート乗船代などは自前

②ハッタ・ツアー

日にち：1月26日（金）

時間：朝９時（ドバイのデイラ地区）集合～夕方４時（同地）解散

内容：ドバイ内陸ハッタ方面へ　①ハッタ・ダム見学　②リーム湖　③ヘリテージ村見学

参加費用：一人AED 270（バス代、昼食代、見学地入場料など含む）お土産やボート乗船代、お茶代は自前

③カルバ地方ツアー

日にち：２月２日（金）

時間：朝９時（ドバイのデイラ地区）集合～夕方４時（同地）解散

内容：東海岸カルバ方面へ　①アルヘフィーヤ山岳動植物センター見学　②カルバ湾自然保存地域見学（お土産屋もあります）

参加費用：一人AED 270（バス代、昼食代、見学地入場料など含む）お土産やお茶代は自前

④シャルジャ内陸ツアー

日にち：２月９日（金）

時間：朝９時（ドバイのデイラ地区）集合～夕方４時（同地）解散

内容：シャルジャ内陸方面へ　①シャルジャ・ミレイハ考古学博物館見学

参加費用：一人AED 300（バス代、昼食代、見学地入場料など含む）お土産やお茶代は自前

『アラビック・アート講習』

２月２週目からはアート講習を行います。

さまざまなアートをアラブ風に作ってみませんか。

本格的なアートなのですが、下準備は先生がすべてやっておき、デザインなど完成させるのはご自分です。

そのため毎週２時間の講習で完成できます。

一生の記念品（思い出）になる素敵なアート作品を作ってみましょう。

４回すべて出席するのが前提です。

 

日にち：２月13日、20日、27日、３月５日（毎週火曜日４回）

時間：10時～12時

場所：ドバイ女性福祉団体（Dubai Women’s Association内の教室）

費用：AED 680（４回分）。どうしても出席できない日がある場合は、代用の方が出席しても構いません。人数分の準備をするので、基本的には個別の日だけの出席は叶いません。

内容：（１週目）アラビック珈琲用のガラスのコップをアラブ風に装飾します。ステンドグラスのような仕上がりになります。乾くまで時間が必要なので、翌週に持ち帰れます。

（２週目）カリグラフィー絵画　小さなカンバスにカリグラフィーを描きます。世界に一つきりの自作のカリグラフィー絵画を描きましょう！　乾くまで時間が必要なので、翌週に持ち帰れます。

（３週目）３D絵画　さまざまなアラビア風の小物をつかって、３D絵画を小さなカンバスに描いてみましょう。翌週に持ち帰れます。

（４週目）お香焚きペインティング　小さなお香焚きに、アラビア風のデザインを入れていきます。箱に入れて気を付ければ当日に持ち帰れます。

毎年、ラマダーン中は講習はお休みです。

ラマダーンの後は、National Study講習を予定しています。

日本でいう「社会科」のようなクラスで、UAEの習慣・風俗・生活などについて学びます。

募集は４月になってから行います。

 

『UAEナショナルスタディ講習』

日にち：４月２３日、３０日、７日、１４日（毎週火曜日４回）

時間：午前１０時～１１時半

場所：ドバイ女性福祉団体（Dubai Women’s Association内の教室）

費用：AED 400（４回分）

内容：①UAEの服飾について、②UAEの食生活について、③UAEとイスラームの祭事・風俗について、④UAE女性の生活と結婚について

Elementary A1: (for students who completed Starter A1 course):

Period :  Mar 2^nd to May 18^th (Mar 16 & 23 will be online-course. Mar 30, Apr 6 & 13 are stopped for Ramadan)

Timing : 9:30am to 12:30pm

Venue: Art For All Center

Teacher : Japanese native, qualified teacher

Fee :  AED 2000 (Registration AED 100 + Fee AED 1620 + Textbooks AED 250 + M-post AED 30)

Venue : Classroom of Art For All Center, in Sharjah Art District

Fee : AED 2000 (Registration AED 100 + Course Fee AED 1620 + 3 texts AED 250 + M-Post AED30). The same text will be used in next course, too.

Attention :

Once your registration is accepted, the transfer the fee should be made to secure the seat.

As soon as we receive the fee, we will arrange the delivery of the textbooks to your physical place.

Japan Center made 1st Alumni Assembly in Tokyo on Dec 3rd.

37 participants from all over Japan, have gathered for the first time for this occasion.

All of them stayed in UAE in the past and have attended the activities of UAE-Japan Cultural Center.

There were fun quiz and games about UAE, challenged their memories of UAE.

However, so many changes happened in last 15 years in UAE and made them confuse about their memories.

The director made a speech about a new project to establish “Islamic Science Museum in Tokyo”.

They had great fun and got a nice gift from UAE.

The participants of Japan Study Tour 2023 visited Metro cities of Tokyo.

They enjoyed Glass Blowing Workshop, Tea Ceremony Workshops, and explored the shopping districts of Tokyo.

The participants happily went back to UAE on Nov 26th

On 4th day of the tour, the participants of Japan Study Tour 2023 have enjoyed strolling Kurashiki Historical Area.

Kurashiki is a very beautiful and quiet city, full of artisan and tradition.

After Kurashiki, they walked through Okutsu Mountain looking at Autumn leaves.

Finally the bus reached Matsue City in the evening.

Some participants stayed Onsen Ryokan for the first time to experience the hot springs.

On the 5th day, the participants visited Adachi Museum, which is famous for its beautiful garden.

They paid tribute to Izumo Shrine, the highest ranked temple of all over Japan.

Coincidentally, that was a starting day of one-week-long discussion of 8 million spiritual gods of Japan.

So the shrine was full of worshippers.

In the evening, they reached Tokyo to enjoy 3 days of modern Japan.
