Term 3 of Japanese Language Course will start after Ramadan.

The details of Term 3 are below:

Course : Starter A1 / Elementary 1-A2 (1st half) / Elementary 2-A2 (1st half)

Date : April 12, 19, 26, May 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 June 14 (9 Saturday mornings)

Timing : 9:30am to 12:30pm (total 27 hours/course)

Venue : Sharjah Government Facility

Teacher : Japanese native, qualified, experienced teachers

Fee : AED 2500 or less/person + AED250 (2 textbooks and 1 workbook)

Here is the step to confirm your registration.

1) Fill the registration Form and send to application@jp.ae

2) We will ask you to send AED 250/person for the textbooks to our bank account.  With this transfer, we consider your registration confirmed.  We prepare textbooks from Japan and it takes about 20 days.

3) Once you transfer the AED 250 (for textbooks), send us the bank slip.  We will confirm you by email upon receiving.  The textbooks will be given on the 1st day of the course.

4) The fee for the course will be defined after 2 weeks, the fee should be between AED 1500- 2500 depending on the venue.  We ask you to transfer the fee online and it will not exceed AED 2500/person. 

Please be noted that the venue will be in Sharjah, and the courses are for any nationality above 15 years old. (There is no kids class)

On Feb 22, Japan Center completed the Term 2 of Japanese Language Course.

Some students graduated from Starter A1 level, given small gifts from Japan. Term 3 will start after Ramadan.

Japan Center celebrated New Year 2025 with friends and family.

KENBU (sword Dance) was performed by Mr Nakami. Kenbu is a dance with a Japanese sword, led with Shigin (Poem), and sometimes the dancer uses a fan as well. Since ancient era, “the dance of the sword”, which simulates holding sword to cut off invisible evil spirits, has been inherited.  It is a part of “Kagura” (“God-entertainment”), a type of Shinto ritual ceremonial dance.

The participants enjoyed Calligraphy, writing “笑” and “雅” for the new year.

Tea Ceremony was also performed. Many enjoyed the Japanese style of welcoming the guests with special sweets, cups, wallpaper, Ikebana flower, etc.

7 teams competed for Japan Quiz. The winners got many Japanese gifts. It was so much fun and excitements!

Japan Center will soon start “Starter A1 (1st Half–lesson 1-9) course” for the beginners at 9:30am on Dec 7th, Saturday, at House of Wisdom, Sharjah.

“Starter A1 (2nd Half) Course” can accept whoever already knew Hiragana, Katakana, and Basic Grammar, with studying history of 30+ hours.

Dates of Term 2 are: Dec 7, 14, (and long year-end holiday), Jan 11, 18, 25, Feb 1, 8, 15, 22. It will end before Ramadan. And Term 3 will start after Ramadan from April to June.

Japanese Language Course Term2

Courses: Starter A1（1st Half Lesson 1-9) / Starter A1 (2nd Half Lesson 10-18）

Date: Dec 7, 14, Jan 11, 18, 25, Feb 1, 8, 15, 22 (9 Saturdays)

Time: 9:30am to 12:30pm (3 hours/week in total 27 hours)

Teacher: Japanese Native, Qualified teacher

Fee: AED 1500 + Textbook AED 250

Venue: House of Wisdom, Sharjah

Naoko Kishida, the director of UAE-Japan Cultural Center gave a lecture to the Japanese public under the patronage of The National Science Museum of Japan. The theme is “The fascinating life & culture of UAE”. More and more people are interested in life of UAE and Middle East.

The students all 3 Language courses enjoyed the Moon Watching Festival at House of Wisdom on Oct 19th, Saturday. It is usually celebrated for the better harvest in Japan. The students made rice balls and decorated as rabbit and moon with Mitarashi, Kinako, and Matcha Sauces.

Japan Center started courses of 3 different levels. More than 30 students enrolled and started Term 1.

In cooperation with House of Wisdom, Sharjah, Japan Center will offer the language course with the fee AED 1000/term.
