Japan Center celebrated New Year with students and friends.

“New Year Event 2023” was held on January 7th, despite heavy rain.

There are Japanese Language Demonstration Class, Cos-play, Fukuwarai Blind Game, Traditional Games such as Kendama, Wanage, Koma, and Othelo games.

Japanese Calligraphy was very popular, and we got 3 most beautiful Calligraphy winners.

Japanese Paper Wrapping Challenge was quite difficult for participants.  You need skill and concentration!

This year, we had Japanese Yoga.  The instructor led participants to the clarification and relaxation of their mind.

Kanji Quiz was introduced new.  Kanji lovers competed their knowledge and imagination over quiz.

Very popular Quiz show was competed by 6 teams, combined with Arabic Speaking and Japanese Speaking teammates.

Finally Fahad/Masin team has won!

This event was enjoyed by our language students as well as new visitors.

Japan Center will start new Hybrid language course for Beginners.

Hybrid means that:  face-to-face class once a month, so that the students who lives far away from Sharjah can attend.  And 2 or 3 times a month online.

As the language should be taught in the society and community, we try to give the chance of communication between Teacher and Students.

Without communication, the language has less charm and taste.

This is first time of trial after we close down the face-to-face classes in 2020 due to the Pandemic.

Starter A1 (1st Half) Course

Date: Jan.14 to Mar.11, every Saturday Mornings* for 9 weeks (Jan 28th, Feb 18, Mar 11, will be classes in the classroom.)

Timing : 10am to 12:30pm (total 22.5 hours)

日本UAE文化センターからExpo 2020万博跡地　見学のお知らせ

日本UAE文化センターは2008年に創設されたNPO団体です。

日本とUAEの文化的、社会的、人的交流を深めるため、14年間地道な活動をしています。

12月初旬にExpo 2020 City内にある「アリフ」を見学します。ふるってご参加ください。

 

訪問地：Alef（Dubai Expo District 2020）

日にち：12月13日（火）

時間：午前10時～11時半　｛９時15分にDWAドバイ女性福祉会館（デイラ地区ドバイ病院向かい）に集合/あるいは9時30分にメトロ駅トレードセンターに集合/あるいは10時に現地集合。10時～11時までAlefを見学し、11時～11時半Expo内見学、現地解散/あるいは12時に過ぎにメトロ駅かDWAにて解散。｝

内容：Expo 2020の中で最も人気の高かったパビリオンのひとつ、Alefを見学します。イスラーム科学が花開いた中世に活躍していたアラブ科学者や航海士の紹介、日本ではあまり知られていないその功績を見ることができます。

参加費用：AED 100（入場料ひとりAED 50とバス代を含みます。現地集合の方も同様に同じです。当日の朝に集めます。）

On Nov 2nd, Japan Center made a visit to Dubai Women’s Museum.

Most Japanese ladies came to UAE recently and are quite interested in UAE Culture.

Especially they are very keen on UAE ladies’ past and present, and how Arab women have strived in the society.

The museum showed us the great aspects of Arab women.

Thanks to the support of Dubai Women’s Association for this trip.

日本UAE文化センターは2008年に創設されたNPO団体です。日本とUAEの文化的、社会的、人的交流を深めるため、14年間地道な活動をしてきました。活動の大きな柱は、１）日本文化をUAE社会に紹介する。２）UAE・アラブ文化を日本社会に紹介する。３）合同活動。４）チャリティ活動です。2019年末までは、対面でさまざまな活動を行ってきました。コロナ自粛期間ではオンライン講義が主流となりましたが、規制が解除されてきたため、秋から少しずつ活動を再開します。

11月初旬に「ドバイ女性博物館」を訪問します。ふるってご参加ください。

訪問地：ドバイ女性博物館（Dubai Women’s Museum）

日にち：11月2日（水）

時間：午前10時～12時半　｛10時にドバイ女性福祉会館（デイラ地区ドバイ病院向かい）に集合し、バスで博物館に行き見学。12時現地解散、あるいは12時半に福祉会館にて解散。現地には車が止められる場所がないので、全員集合場所まで来ていただきます。解散場所は自由です。｝

内容：ドバイ女性博物館は2012年に志を持った個人のドバイ女性によって建設されました。UAE女性の過去と現在の記録を残し、国家建設に大きな貢献を残してきた女性全体に焦点をあてた博物館です。湾岸中東の女性が社会や家庭において大きな責任を担い、奮闘してきた足跡がたどれる場所です。英語のガイドと日本語の説明が付きます。

参加費用：ＡＥＤ　７０（バス代含む。帰りにバスを使用しなくても同じです。当日の朝に集めます。）

女性博物館申し込み

 

Japan Center will start the new language course for very new Beginners from Oct 22nd.

The course will be as follows:

Starter A1 (1st Half) Course

Date: Oct 22 to Dec 31  (Dec 3 & 24 are holidays). Every Saturday Mornings* 9 weeks

Timing : 10am to 12:30pm (total 22.5 hours)

Method : Japan Foundation based CFER / Starter A1 / Microsoft Online

Fee :  AED 1505 (Fee & Registration AED 1225 + 3 textbooks AED 250 + M-post AED 30)

Registration:

Fill the Registration Form and send it back to us. jpnceterapplication@gmail.com

We will later inform you how to transfer the fee.

Upon receiving the fee, we send you the confirming email and arrange the delivery of textbooks to your physical address by currier company.

Then your name will be registered as a member in Microsoft Teams.

We will guide you what to prepare for the first class by email.

Japan Center started new academic year 2022-23.

Elementary2-A2 course(Second Half) started as a continuous class with previous members.

It was nice to get together after long summer holiday,

Teacher and students talked about what they have done during the summer.

It is still an online-course to benefit more number of students who lives far away.

The Starter A1 for beginners will start in October as below:

Date: Oct 15 to Dec 17^th  (Oct 15, 22, 29, Nov 5, 12, 19, 26, Dec 10, 17). Every Saturday Mornings* 9 weeks

Timing : 10am to 12:30pm (total 22.5 hours)

Method : Japan Foundation based CFER / Starter A1 / Microsoft Online

Fee :  AED 1505

Registration Form

Japan Center will start the new language course from September.

“Starter A1” is for the very new learners.

We take the curriculum of CEFR (Common European Framework Reference), which is standard in Europe, America, and Asia.

You can find your level anywhere of these area and can continue without problems.

Our teachers are all Japanese native with qualification and experience.

Japan Center offers:

-Starter A1 (Lesson 1-9)/ (Lesson 10-18)

-Elementary1-A2 (Lesson 1-9)/(Lesson 10-18)

-Elementary2-A2 (Lesson 1-9)/ (Lesson 10-18)

We accept any nationality above the age of 15.

Our course is still online, but teachers ask questions, give quiz & assignments, and offer some games during the class.

Japanese Language Teachers and students  had a face-to face meeting at the Mall of Emirates on August 27th.

As we have been keeping the online-courses since 2020, there are not many chances for students to meet their teachers and classmates.

Last meeting was “Japan Day” on December 10th, at Dubai Expo.

We will make more meetings with teachers and students this coming year.
